Honoring Asher: A Life Full of Light, Love, and Strength
On October 15, 2021, Asher came into the world early—just 28 weeks—alongside his twin brother, Aston. From his very first breath, Asher showed us what it meant to be a fighter. Born with a complex congenital heart defect and rectal atresia, he underwent surgery within the first 24 hours of life, and his journey of resilience began.
Over the next two and a half years, Asher faced countless surgeries—including three open-heart procedures—hospital transfers, and long stretches in intensive care. Through it all, he remained the happiest little boy, lighting up every room with his smile and bringing comfort and joy to everyone around him.
In April 2023, after so many challenges, Asher finally came home. He started thriving—walking with a gait trainer, beginning to eat and talk more, and enjoying time with his family. His favorite place in the world? The park. Asher loved being outside, especially with his brother, where laughter and sunshine surrounded him.
But in early 2024, Asher experienced a series of sudden cardiac arrests. Though he fought bravely, his little body couldn’t recover from the final episode. On May 13, 2024, surrounded by love and Taylor Swift’s music—his favorite—Asher made his journey to heaven.
Asher’s life, though short, made an enormous impact. His strength, joy, and love touched the hearts of everyone who met him—and many who never had the chance. We are devastated, but we are also incredibly proud of the warrior he was and the love he gave so freely.
