About Lions Park Inclusive Playground

Lions Park is centrally located off 2nd Street NE, just south of Discovery Elementary. The playground area is the star of the show: a large, giant play structure with slides, tunnels, spring riders, swings, a zipline, and SO much more — all set on a rubber base for safe play.

But it’s not just for play! The park also features two fenced baseball/softball fields (used in summer youth programs and tournaments), open fields with backstops for soccer, football, or kickball, and an outdoor hockey rink that remains busy throughout the winter. There’s also a pavilion/shelter — great for picnics, neighborhood gatherings, or family get-togethers — plus picnic tables, restrooms, and benches to complete the setup.

No matter the season, Lions Park is built for fun: summers full of sports and play, winters with skating, and all year round with plenty of space to roam, explore, and make memories.

This Unlimited Play playground was thoughtfully designed to be a place where children of all abilities can laugh, play, and grow side by side. Every element reflects our commitment to creating inclusive spaces that welcome everyone. From accessible surfacing and inclusive equipment to quiet sensory areas and imaginative structures, this playground encourages exploration, connection, and fun for all. It’s more than just a playground, it’s a space where friendships blossom, differences are embraced, and every child can experience the joy of play.
