Our Mission
The Little Milligan Community Center is dedicated to preserving the heart and heritage of our Appalachian community by fostering a strong sense of connection, belonging, and pride. We strive to be a welcoming and accessible gathering place where people of all ages can learn, celebrate, and support one another through programs, events, and shared traditions.
As part of this mission, we are committed to creating opportunities that ensure every member of our community feels included and valued. Our current focus is raising funds for the development of an all-inclusive playground—a space intentionally designed so that children of all abilities, along with their families and friends, can play side by side. This playground will not only offer safe and engaging recreational opportunities, but it will also serve as a symbol of unity, demonstrating our belief that every child deserves the joy of play and every family deserves a place to gather.
Through these efforts, the Little Milligan Community Center seeks to honor our past, strengthen our present, and invest in a future where our community thrives together.
