What We Do: Together We Play Initiative
The Together We Play initiative was created to empower under-resourced communities, schools and organizations to create spaces where every child belongs. Young Professionals members raise awareness, build community support and host creative fundraising events that make Unlimited Play’s inclusive playground projects possible.
By championing features such as adaptive swings, flush-mounted merry-go-rounds, communication boards and Quiet Grove spaces, Together We Play helps remove the barriers in parks and schools where children are too often left out. Together We Play transforms playgrounds by providing inclusive playground equipment and cultivates the next generation of leaders who believe play should have no limits.
Our Inaugural Inclusive Playground Project
The Young Professionals are proud to announce our first major project: a new inclusive playground for the community of Kankakee, IL, in honor of Bedford and his family.
Bedford is a young toddler living with Schwartz-Jampel syndrome, which causes his muscles to stay tight. He dreams of starting school next year with a playground he can explore without limitations!
Unlimited Play, Little Tikes Commercial, the Young Professionals and many more supporters are joining together to create a safe and welcoming space designed to meet the needs of every child.
